Synopsis: *SPOILER-ish*
Anton's parents want to spend the family vacation on a farm - which Anton hates. So, he gets Rüdiger to come along, something that Rüdiger very much wants as he needs to get away from Lumpi's dangerous friend Jörg. To mask Rüdiger's true nature, they wrap his coffin into gift wrapping paper and put Rüdiger in Lederhosen. Traveling by night train, they meet Frau Giftich, an elderly lady who is thankfully quite blind and cannot really figure out that Rüdiger is a vampire due to having lost her glasses.

Review:
This is another one that I only briefly remember. I do remember worrying about whether Frau Giftich would figure things out, though I was sure she wouldn't. I also found her name quite funny (it's a pun on pronunciation of the German word for 'poisonous'). I also remember that I couldn't wait to read the next book to see what adventures the boys would have on the farm.
